After studying medicine at Bristol University Prof.. Khamis specialised in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology in leading UK institutions. He gained his PhD from Imperial College London where he is a now consultant cardiologist. Prof. Khamis is a world opinion leader in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular science. He and his team discovered a new link between the immune system and protection from heart attacks. They are also developing a new imaging technique to target the dangerous fatty deposits within arteries of the heart. dr.
